First visit Andong, a small town north of Daegu and Gyeongju. The area surrounding Andong is notable for having preserved much of its traditional character. You may choose to stay in a western style hotel or a homestay.

Then continue on to Gyeongju, an ancient town steeped in history. Once one of the greatest cities in the world, it was the capital of the Shilla Kingdom (668 - 935AD) and subsequently all of Korea. Today, Gyeongju is a small country town with so many relics from the Shilla era that many call it a “Museum Without Walls.“

Day 1: Seoul to Andong
This morning transfer from your hotel in Seoul to the train station. Express Traom to Andong. Upon arrival visit Bongjungsa Temple. Overnight accommodations at the Andong Park Hotel or a homestay. Click Here For Hotel Description

Day 2: Andong to Gyeongju
Breakfast at hotel/homestay. This morning visit Andong Museum and Hahoe Folk Village. Afternoon local bus to Gyeongju. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the Concorde Hotel or similar. Click Here For Hotel Description

Day 3: Gyeongju to Seoul
Breakfast at hotel. This morning visit Tumuli Park with many royal Shilla tombs, the National Museum, Sukkuram Grotto, Bulkuksa Temple and Chomsungdae, an ancient stone observatory. This evening return to Seoul by express train. Upon arrival, your guide will assist you in taking a taxi to your hotel. Taxi fee not included.
